Ahh, the lovely pets of Vorel! There are many different species to be had as pets, but be careful; some are more of a handful than others!
--Note: You may start out with a pet of your choosing, except for those considered rare.
Pets:
Firelizards - same colors/rank as their dragon counterparts
Felines
Canines
Sliders - a new species found at the weyr; sliders are snake-like beings whose hide can change color depending on its mood. Can climb any surface without leaving a trail behind it.
Daras (rare) - comes from dragon tongue. It means little dragon, but they are surprisingly far from that. These creatures look like little alligators with extremely rough skin, allowing them to survive in any weather. Their tongues are forked and their eyes glow like a dragon's would, but they're completely mute. Sliders can make noises while Daras cannot. They're rare little creatures, but when you bond with one they will protect you for life. They live to be about 40 turns old, and they are iridescent in color.
